How to Make The Plan Interactive on TikTok LIVE
To make The Plan interactive on TikTok LIVE, you need a bridge that listens to your live and turns gifts into in-game effects on the fly. With TikPlays, that is one bridge app, one API key and a gift map. Setup takes a few minutes.
Why The Plan works so well as a LIVE
The Plan is Krillbite's free three-minute game on Steam. You play a little fly heading for the light, and the whole run is over fast. That short length is what makes it good for TikTok LIVE. Every run is a complete story, and a viewer who joins late has not missed anything.
The loop is simple to explain: chat decides whether the fly makes it. A gift can be the gust of wind that carries it up, or the swat that sends it spinning back down. People understand that in about five seconds, which matters because viewers decide fast whether to stay.
What you need before you start
The Plan has no mod loader, so you are not hunting for mods or editing game files by hand. The TikPlays bridge installs a tiny managed mod for you and can remove it again later.
- The Plan installed from Steam (it is free).
- A Windows PC that can run the game and your stream.
- A TikTok account that can go LIVE. Requirements such as follower minimums vary by region and account, so check TikTok's own LIVE settings.
- TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS to broadcast, with the game captured as usual.
- A TikPlays account, for the dashboard and your API key.
Step by step: connect The Plan to your LIVE
The whole setup is three moves: run the bridge, start the game, then map your gifts. You do not need port forwarding.
- Run the TikPlays The Plan bridge and paste in your dashboard API key.
- Start The Plan on Steam. The bridge installs its mod and finds the game by itself. The first install needs one game restart, so do not panic when it asks.
- On the TikPlays dashboard, map gifts (and follows, likes, shares and joins) to actions.
- Pick The Plan when you Connect on the dashboard, then go LIVE as you normally do.
Before you go public, test it. Trigger a few actions from the dashboard and watch the fly react. Confirm that a help action and a troll action both land, so you know the mod is live.
The 20 actions your viewers can trigger
Every action is applied straight to the fly as it happens. There are ten that help and ten that make life harder. Mixing both is what keeps a run unpredictable.
The help side includes an updraft, a soaring surge, a steady tailwind, swift wings, calm steady flight, weightlessness, nimble turns, a hover to catch its breath, a pull back into the light, and a second wind that clears every troll effect at once. The trouble side covers a downdraft, a plummet, a headwind, violent turbulence, a dizzy spin, sticky air, heavy wings, a swat that knocks it flying, lost control, and a crosswind that shoves it off course.
How to map gifts so it feels fair
Match the size of the gift to the size of the effect. A cheap gift should do something small and funny, such as a light updraft or a bit of sticky air. Save the dramatic ones, like a plummet or a swat, for your bigger gifts.
Keep roughly even numbers of help and troll gifts. If everything is a troll, viewers feel like they are just paying to watch you fail. If everything helps, nothing is at stake.
Put the second wind on a gift of its own. It clears every troll effect at once, so it becomes a rescue button. Viewers who sent the trolls will cheer and groan in the same breath.
- Small gifts: Updraft, Hover, Sticky air, Headwind.
- Mid gifts: Tailwind, Swift wings, Crosswind, Dizzy spin.
- Big gifts: Soar, Second wind, Plummet, Swat!, Lose control.
These are suggestions, not rules. Gift names and coin values can change, so check what you can actually see in your gift list. If you want to work out what your gifts add up to, the free gift and earnings calculator can help.

Use follows, likes, shares and joins too
Gifts are not the only trigger. Follows, likes, shares and viewers joining the live can all be mapped to any action. That gives people who are not spending anything a way to join in.
A join that sends a little updraft is a classic. Every new viewer helps the fly the moment they walk in, which makes the chat feel welcomed. A follow could trigger Tailwind, and a share could trigger Hover.
Run the stream: pacing, overlays and extras
Because a run takes about three minutes, you can announce each attempt. Tell viewers what the fly is trying to do, and say out loud which gifts just helped or hurt. Narrating the chaos is most of the entertainment.
Overlays are links you paste into TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS as a browser source. Goal bars, a top-gifter board and a chat overlay are all available, and they fit nicely around a short game like this. A goal bar that fills toward a second wind gives everyone something to chase.
If you want your stream to talk back, the Windows desktop app can read gifts and chat aloud, and there is an AI co-host and sound alerts as well.

Common problems and quick fixes
Most issues come down to order of operations. Check these before anything else.
- Nothing happens in game: make sure the bridge is running, the API key is pasted correctly, and you picked The Plan when you Connected on the dashboard.
- The mod did not load: the first install needs one game restart. Close The Plan and start it again.
- A gift does nothing: check that the gift is mapped. Gift names can arrive with stray spaces, so re-select it from the list rather than typing it.
- Effects feel too weak or too wild: change which actions you put on cheap versus expensive gifts.
If you ever want the game back to normal, the bridge can take the mod back out. TikPlays is not affiliated with TikTok or with Krillbite.
