Only Up! on TikTok LIVE: gift ideas and what viewers can trigger
Only Up! has no checkpoints, so every gift your viewers send lands on a climb that can be lost in one fall. The best setup puts small gifts on small nudges, big gifts on big swings, and keeps a rescue gift ready for the moments chat gets cruel.
What viewers can actually do to your climb
With the TikPlays mod, whatever viewers just bought plays out in the game itself. The ragdoll, first-person view and movement are Only Up!'s own, because the game is an Unreal Engine 5.1 climber built on the Advanced Locomotion System. The mod just pushes the buttons.
There are 30 actions in two camps: 15 that help and 15 that troll. Follows, likes, shares and joins can be mapped too, not only gifts. That gives you plenty of room to build a gift menu without everything feeling like the same effect.
Why Only Up! needs a different gift menu
Most games let you shrug off a bad effect. Only Up! punishes you for it, because a fall can cost you minutes of progress. A pile of troll gifts with no help gifts turns a stream into a loop of the same climb.
The game has no checkpoints, so the mod keeps its own trail of safe footholds. Back to your best spot, rewind and the safety net all take you to that trail, and drop down the tower sends you there too. Knowing that helps you decide which gifts are rescues and which are punishment.
Cheap gifts: small nudges that keep chat involved
Your lowest-cost gifts will be sent the most, so they should be effects you can survive back to back. Think of them as flavor, not a verdict on the run.
Good picks for the cheapest tier:
- Speed boost or Double jump on a Rose-level gift: a small help that people feel immediately.
- Slow walk, Weak jumps or Drunk on a cheap troll gift: annoying, rarely fatal.
- Spin the camera for a gift you expect in bursts: it looks great on stream and the climber can still recover.
- Likes mapped to Slow motion or Parachute, so a tap-happy chat is quietly helping.
Avoid putting anything that wipes out progress on a gift people send ten at a time. If a cheap gift can trigger the reset countdown, one excited viewer can end your night.
Mid-tier gifts: the effects people watch for
This is where chat should see a real change in the run. Platform under your feet, Build stairs, Moon gravity and Super jump make the climb look different. On the troll side, Reverse controls, Ice floor and Forced first person force you to play a new game for a moment.
Keep one mid-tier gift for each camp that is hard to ignore, like Blackout against Parachute. Viewers love picking sides, and a one-gift rivalry builds more chat than a long list of options.
Big gifts: the ones that change the run
Reserve the expensive gifts for effects that decide the climb. On the help side that means Back to your best spot, Safety net and Clear the trolls. On the troll side it means Drop down the tower, Yeet and the Reset countdown.
The reset countdown is the best big-gift idea in the game. It gives chat sixty seconds before you are sent back to the very start, and Save from reset is the gift that cancels it. Mapping those two to different gifts lets one viewer start the clock while another races to stop it, and you get a story out of it every time.
Fun combos worth mapping
Because gifts stack in real time, a few pairings are worth setting up on purpose:
- Moon gravity plus Air steering: floaty and controllable, ideal for skipping a hard section.
- Heavy gravity plus Weak jumps: the combo chat will regret sending, since neither one is a kill alone.
- Ice floor plus Reverse controls: pure chaos on a narrow ledge.
- Reset countdown, then Save from reset: the rescue race.
- Blackout, then Clear the trolls: lights out, then a big gift wipes every troll and brings the screen back.
- Drunk plus Spin the camera: a short burst that makes the stream funny without ending the run.
Mapping gifts on the TikPlays dashboard
You choose which gift triggers which action on the dashboard, and you can map follows, shares, likes and joins as well. Aim for roughly an even split between help and troll so chat feels the climb is a shared game. Only Up! is one of the 43 interactives that come with a single TikPlays subscription.
Setup is short: run the Only Up bridge, paste in your dashboard API key, and it installs UE4SS and the mod into the game for you. No port forwarding. The full action list is below so you can plan your tiers before you open the dashboard.
- Run the TikPlays Only Up bridge and paste in your dashboard API key.
- Start Only Up! and press Play.
- Map gifts, follows, shares, likes and joins to actions, then pick Only Up! when you Connect on the dashboard.
