The actions available
The Terraria mod has 47 actions across five groups. You do not need all of them, but it helps to know what exists so you can build a balanced set.
Help covers Ammo, Buff, Cleanse, Coins, Fall immunity, Friendly NPC, Full heal, Heal, Life crystal, Light, Loot, Mana, Mount, Potion pack, Shield, Super buff and Wings. Enemies covers Bats, Eaters, Demon eyes, Goblin army, Hornets, Skeletons, Hostile slimes and Zombies.
Harm covers Bomb, Confusion, Darkness, Debuffs, Dynamite, Drop / slow, Meteor and On fire. World events covers Blood moon, Force daytime, Solar eclipse, Force night, Rain, Sandstorm, Slime rain, Spawn rate up and Windy day. Bosses and chaos covers Summon boss, Eye of Cthulhu, Chaos, Jackpot and Spin the wheel.
Balance the difficulty for your progression
Terraria punishes you for being under-geared, and chat will find that out fast. A boss summon in a fresh world with wooden armor is a very short stream segment.
Match the mapping to where you are. Early on, lean on Help actions and small enemy waves, and keep the boss gifts on the most expensive gift so they are rare. As your gear improves, you can move harder actions down to cheaper gifts.
It also helps to keep a few rescue actions on gifts of their own, like Full heal or Shield. Viewers like saving you, and it gives them a way to reverse a bad moment they just caused.
Make it watchable, not just playable
The best interactive streams make the cause and effect obvious. Say the gift and the action out loud when it lands, and keep a short list of what each gift does on screen so new viewers can join in.

Most issues are small and fixable in a minute or two.
- Nothing happens on a gift: check that the API key in the mod settings matches your current dashboard key, and that the gift is actually mapped.
- A gift does the wrong thing: gift names can be picked up with stray spacing, so re-select the gift from the dashboard list rather than typing it.
- The stream feels too hard: move harsh actions to more expensive gifts and add more Help actions.
- Actions bunch up: keep fewer harsh gifts mapped so you are not hit by several events at once.
