How to Make Gift Storm Interactive on TikTok LIVE
To make Gift Storm interactive, you map TikTok gifts to falling objects (coins, hearts, stars, bombs, chaos orbs) so that whatever viewers send drops onto your screen with their name on it. Then you play it live with the arrow keys while chat tries to help you or wreck you.
What Gift Storm looks like when it is interactive
You control a character running along the bottom of the screen with the arrow keys. Everything your chat sends falls from the sky, and every object carries the name of the viewer who sent it. That name label is the hook: people watch to see their own gift land, and to see whether you catch it.
Coins are points, hearts are lives, and stars pull every coin on screen toward you. Bombs cost you a life if you touch one. A round ends when you hit the score target or when chat takes your last life.
What you need before you start
You need a TikTok account that can go LIVE. LIVE eligibility, such as follower minimums, varies by region and account, so check your own LIVE settings in TikTok rather than trusting a number from a blog post.
Beyond that, the list is short:
- A Windows PC that can run a browser window and OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio
- A keyboard with arrow keys, since you play the game yourself

- A few minutes to decide which gifts become which objects

Step-by-step setup
The whole setup follows three steps. Do them in order and test before you go live.
- Open the Gift Storm link from your TikPlays dashboard in a normal browser window. Keep this window open for the whole stream.
- Add that window to OBS as a Window Capture. Do not use a browser source here. Window Capture lets the game hear your keyboard, so the arrow keys keep working while you stream.
- Map your gifts on the dashboard: which gift becomes a coin, a heart, a star, and, if you want, a bomb or a chaos orb.
- Go live in TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS, click into the game window, and start catching.
Before your first real stream, send yourself a test gift from a second account if you can. Confirm it falls with the right label and that your arrow keys still respond once OBS is capturing the window.
How to map gifts so the game stays fun
Gift Storm has five gift tiers you can assign. Coin is worth 10 points by default and you catch it. Extra Life is 25 points and gives you a heart. Star is 40 points and pulls every coin on screen toward you. Bomb is 30 points and you have to dodge it. Chaos Orb is 60 points and you have to catch it in the air to defuse it.
The mapping decides who has power over you, so think about it in terms of price.
- Put cheap gifts on coins. Small gifts should feel like a small reward for you, so nobody feels ignored.
- Put mid-range gifts on hearts and stars. These are the helpful moments viewers are proud to trigger.
- Put a few gifts on bombs if you want chat to have a way to attack you. Some viewers love that, and it is where the tension comes from.
- Keep chaos orbs for your most expensive gifts. They are the biggest spectacle in the game.
If your audience is small, start with coins, hearts and stars only. Add bombs and orbs once you have regulars who want to mess with you.
Understand bombs and chaos orbs before you enable them
A bomb only hurts if you touch it, so it is an obstacle rather than an instant punishment. A chaos orb is different. If it reaches the ground, it flips your controls, ices the floor or fogs the screen. If you catch it in the air, you defuse it and get bonus points.
That means the orb is a test of attention, and it makes the gifter part of the show. Tell chat what each object does at the start of the stream, or pin it in your title, so viewers know what they are paying for.
Use follows, shares and joins as free triggers
Not everything has to be a paid gift. Gift Storm also reacts to non-gift actions: a follow is worth 10 points, a share 8 points, and someone joining the stream 5 points. Likes can give 2 points per 100 likes, but that is off by default.
These are useful on slow nights. Ask viewers to follow or share to send something falling, so people who cannot send a gift can still see their name land on screen.
Run the stream so chat keeps sending
Set a clear score target and say it out loud. The round then has a real finish, and viewers can see whether their gifts helped you get there or took your last life.
Read names as you catch things. Calling out the viewer whose star just pulled in a wall of coins is the best reward you can give, and it costs you nothing. The scoreboard keeps count all stream, so mention who is leading.

Common problems and quick fixes
Most issues come from the capture setup, not the game.
- Arrow keys do nothing on stream: check that you used Window Capture in OBS, and that the game window is the one you have clicked into.
- A gift does not drop anything: check the mapping on your dashboard. If the gift is not assigned to a tier, it will not trigger anything.
- Gifts show odd results: gift names can carry stray spaces or differ slightly, so re-pick the gift from the list instead of typing its name.
- Chat feels overpowered: move a couple of gifts from bombs back to coins.
