Pacing cheap gifts against big ones
The pacing knob is the wing power drain. Set it too fast and even a busy chat cannot keep up, so the bird crashes and viewers feel helpless. Set it too slow and nobody needs to gift because the bird just floats along.
A good target is a bird that survives comfortably when chat is active but starts wobbling in a quiet minute. Then a single gift visibly changes the outcome. Test it with a friend sending gifts before you go live.
Match the pipe gap and speed to the same idea. A smaller gap and faster pipes make each gift matter more. A wider gap is kinder to a small chat where only a few people are sending anything.
Free ways for chat to help
Not everything has to cost coins. Following, sharing and joining the stream all add wing power too, so a viewer with no gift budget still has a way to keep the bird up. That also gives you a natural call to action, like asking new viewers to follow and watch the meter jump.
Likes can feed the meter as well, but that option is off by default. Turn it on if your chat taps a lot, and leave it off if you want gifts to stay the main lifeline.
Helpful vs harmful: using the anvil
The anvil flips the game. Instead of refilling wing power, the mapped gift drains it and slams the bird toward the ground. This is what turns a gift into a prank, so viewers can sabotage the streamer or a rival's favorite bird.
Map it to something specific that people send on purpose, not your most common gift, or you will kill the bird every few seconds. A mid-priced gift that few people send works well, since the anvil should feel like an event.
If your chat is small or you are new to the game, skip the anvil at first. You can add it later once you know how much the bird can take.

Fun combos and stream ideas
Try a bird-versus-chat setup. Chat sends flaps and super flaps to keep it alive while one designated gift is the anvil. Then you announce that whoever sends the anvil is trying to end the run, and everyone else has to save it.
Another format is a high-score challenge: tell chat the goal is a target pipe count, and stop the run when the bird crashes. A shield from a super flap can save the run right before a crash, which makes for clip-worthy moments.
