Step-by-step setup
The whole process takes a few minutes if your streaming software is already set up.

Which gifts to map to which action
There are three gift tiers. Flap is worth 8 wing power by default. Super Flap is worth 30 by default, and it also throws up a one-hit shield. Anvil drains 20 wing power and slams the bird toward the ground.
Put your cheapest, most common gift on Flap so anyone can keep the bird flying. Put a mid or high gift on Super Flap, because the shield gives the bigger gift a visible payoff. Chat sees the bird survive a pipe it should have hit.
Anvil ships unmapped, so nobody's bird starts dropping until you decide it should. Map it only once your chat is comfortable with the game. Giving a gift the power to hurt the bird lets viewers fight each other, with one side flapping and another dropping anvils.

Free ways to keep the bird alive
Not everything has to be a gift. Other actions add wing power too, which helps small chats stay in the game.
These are the default values, and you can tune them on the dashboard.
- Follow: 8 wing power
- Share: 6 wing power
- Joining the stream: 3 wing power
- Likes: 2 wing power per 100 likes, off by default
Follows and shares are the useful ones. You can ask for them directly, for example 'Follow to give the bird one more flap', and it costs the viewer nothing. Keep likes off at first if your chat spams them, because they can refill the meter too easily.
Tune the difficulty to your chat size
The three settings that matter are the pipe gap, the pipe speed and the wing-power drain. Together they decide how often the bird dies without help.
For a small chat, use a wider gap, slower pipes and a slower drain. Otherwise the bird crashes before anyone has time to react, and the game feels broken instead of hard. For a busy chat, tighten all three so gifts stay meaningful and the meter does not sit full.
The test is simple. If the bird never dies, tighten things. If it dies within seconds of every restart, loosen them. A good setting keeps the meter low enough that people feel they can save the run.
Run the stream so it gets gifts
Say what is happening every time, out loud. 'The meter is at zero, one flap saves it' does more than any overlay. Viewers who just joined cannot read the rules, so repeat them.
Set a score goal for the session, such as beating your best run of the night. A goal gives viewers a reason to keep the bird alive over several minutes, and it makes a crash feel like a loss to the whole chat.
