About Get To Work

Get To Work is a single-player speedrunning platformer with no mod loader and no server, so nothing is installed into the game. A small companion client runs on your own PC and works one layer below it: a Windows input hook that can swap a key for a different one, and an OBS browser source that draws over your capture.

Ten gifts make it worse: your left and right swapped, keys that stick after you let go, butterfingers that eat your inputs, the give-up button pressed for you, a camera spun mid-jump, inverted look, the jump key mashed, the lights out, corporate popups piling over the screen, and sticky notes plastered across it.

Ten gifts save you: a guardian angel that absorbs the next hits, a union-rep truce where nothing lands at all, a clean slate, a severance that wipes everything still queued, a second wind that holds you forward, steady hands for the mouse, an ergonomic chair for the keyboard, a lucky break that turns the next attack into a gift, focus mode for the screen, and caffeine that halves how long any of it lasts.

The screen half runs on its own if you would rather nothing touched your keyboard: add the effects overlay in OBS, skip the client, and the ten gifts that only draw still work.
