Star Fetchers on TikTok LIVE: gift ideas and what viewers can trigger
Star Fetchers is a hard platformer, so the best gift setup is one where cheap gifts nudge the player and big gifts change the whole jump. Here is which gifts to map to which actions, how to pace them, and which combos make chat laugh.
What viewers can actually do to the player
With TikPlays, Star Fetchers has 20 actions split evenly: ten that help the player and ten that make the run harder. Gifts, follows, likes, shares and viewers joining the live can all be mapped to any of them.
The fun comes from that split. Chat is never just a spectator or just a saboteur. Viewers decide, gift by gift, whether the next jump lands.
The one rule: price by how much it changes the jump
Do not sort actions by how powerful they sound. Sort them by how much they change the next three seconds of play. A small heal barely changes anything. A ragdoll yeet changes everything.
Cheap gifts should produce effects the player can shrug off or recover from. Expensive gifts should produce moments the whole stream notices, either a rescue or a disaster.
Cheap gifts: small effects that keep the stream moving
Your lowest-cost gifts will arrive in bursts, often ten or twenty in a row. Map them to effects that stack without ruining the run.
- Ouch (chip damage) works well as a spam gift because a few hits are survivable and funny.
- Patch up (a small heal) gives chat a way to undo the Ouch spam, which creates a tug of war.
- Slow down and Speed boost make good opposite pair on two cheap gifts.
- Shake it off clears every troll effect, so keep it cheap enough that helpers can answer trolls quickly.
Mid-tier gifts: the effects that decide a single jump
This is where most of your gifting will happen once viewers warm up. Pick actions that clearly affect one platforming moment so the cause and result are obvious on screen.
On the helpful side, Super jump, Extra jumps, Dash and Boost up each solve a different gap. On the trouble side, Slippery floor, Heavy legs and Big shove each ruin a different kind of landing.
Keep a mix of help and trouble at this tier. If every mid-tier gift is a troll, viewers who want to help the player have nothing to send, and the chat gets quiet.
Big gifts: save the dramatic ones
Reserve the actions that change the run itself for your most expensive gifts. Instant death sends the player back to the last checkpoint. Setback teleports them back the way they came. Yeet throws them into the air as a ragdoll. Anti-gravity and Stuck in place turn a careful jump into chaos.
On the help side, Invincible and Extra heart are the big rescue gifts. They give the player breathing room, and they give the generous viewers a payoff when a troll has been running the show.
One pacing tip: if a big troll gift lands just as the player is about to finish a hard section, announce it out loud. A big gift only feels big if everyone sees it happen.
Fun combos that make chat compete
The best moments come from two gifts colliding. A few pairings worth planning your mapping around:
- Slippery floor followed by Big shove: the player slides, then gets pushed off the edge.
- Heavy legs then Super jump: one viewer takes the jump away, another gives back more than enough.
- Anti-gravity then Glide: a floaty mess that turns into a graceful one.
- Stuck in place then Dash: chat glues the player down, and a helper pays to launch them out.
- Invincible while Ouch spam is running: chip damage pours in and nothing happens, which is a joke in itself.
Because Shake it off clears every troll effect at once, it is the natural counter to any combo. Decide whether you want it cheap, so trolls get answered fast, or pricey, so troll streaks can run longer.
Follows, likes, shares and joins
You do not need to spend gifts on everything. A viewer joining the live can trigger a little Big shove, which is a classic because every new arrival gets a small moment of fame. Follows work well for a free Extra heart or Patch up, since following feels like a friendly act.
Likes can trigger small helpful effects, shares can trigger something bigger, and all of them are optional. Starting with joins and follows gives people who never send gifts a way to take part.

Setting it up with TikPlays
TikPlays turns your TikTok LIVE into a game the viewers play, and Star Fetchers is one of the interactives included in the subscription. A small bridge connects the Steam game to your LIVE. It installs a tiny mod next to the game's own script and applies each action straight to the player, with no port forwarding.
Gifts that arrive between levels simply wait until the next level is playing, so you do not lose them in loading screens. Here is the full list of what you can map. The setup steps are after it.
- Run the TikPlays Star Fetchers bridge and paste in your dashboard API key.
- Start Star Fetchers and play any level. The bridge installs its mod and finds the game by itself.
- Map gifts, follows, likes, shares and joins to actions, then pick Star Fetchers when you Connect on the dashboard.
TikPlays works alongside TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS, and you can add goal bars and top-gifter overlays from the stream tools page. It is not affiliated with TikTok or the Star Fetchers developers.
