Driftwood is a downhill longboard trick game, and the TikPlays mod polls for whatever your viewers have just bought. Each gift you map fires one action that calls the game's own physics and scoring code. Nothing is hooked at the OS level and no memory is poked.

A useful way to sort them: some effects change how the board moves, some change what you can see, and some change your score. Mix those categories on stream so the same kind of pain does not repeat back to back.
Map by gift price, not by gift name
Start with a simple rule. The cheapest gifts, the ones viewers can spam, should trigger effects you can shrug off. Mid-price gifts get effects that change how you ride. Your most expensive gifts get the run-enders and the big rewards.
Look at your own gift list on the dashboard and sort it by coin cost before you assign anything. Popular cheap gifts like a rose will fire constantly, so a wipeout on that one would make the stream unplayable in minutes. A starter mapping that works
This is a sensible first pass. Adjust it after your first stream once you see what chat really sends.
- Cheapest gifts: Score bonus, Speed boost, Wide view. Small, positive, safe to spam.
- Cheap harm: Score tax, Fast forward, Headwind. Annoying, never fatal.
- Mid gifts: Bullet time, Grip boost, Hang time on the help side. Board wobble, Inverted camera, Tunnel vision on the harm side.
- Big gifts: Fresh checkpoint, Pit stop, Crash guard as rescues. No grip, Dead stop, Handbrake yank as pressure.
- Top gift: Wipeout. Make it rare and expensive so it feels like an event.
Keep at least as many help gifts as harm gifts. Viewers who only ever see you suffer stop sending gifts, and viewers who see you get bailed out feel like they are part of the run.
Helpful vs harmful: keep the balance honest
Harmful effects get the reactions, but helpful ones give viewers a reason to protect you. Crash guard and Pit stop are great save gifts. When chat sees you about to hit an obstacle, someone will send one, and that moment is often the best clip of the stream.
Put the true run-enders, Wipeout and Dead stop, behind gifts that few people can afford. If a wipeout costs the same as a rose, you will restart constantly and never build a run worth watching.
Also consider your own skill. New players should lean toward more help gifts and softer harm, since Inverted camera and No grip are much harder if you are still learning to drift.
Pacing cheap gifts against big ones
Cheap gifts create a steady background hum. Big gifts create peaks. You want both, and you want the peaks to land on a clean moment, not on top of a pile of small effects.
When a big gift arrives, say out loud what it does and let it play. If Tunnel vision hits while a Headwind is still dragging you back, the stack can feel unfair and chat will notice. A quick reaction from you, even just naming the effect, makes the gift feel worth buying.
Watch your score too. Score bonus and Score tax pull in opposite directions, so a busy chat can swing your total up and down. That is a fun tug of war, and it gives viewers a reason to compete against each other.
Fun combos to try on stream
Combos are where Driftwood gets memorable. A few that work well:
- Bullet time plus Hang time: slow motion and floaty jumps for trick lines you would never land normally.
- Fast forward plus Crash guard: everything sped up, but the guard bumps you off obstacles instead of ending the run.
- Inverted camera plus Wide view: steering feels backwards, but at least you can see what is coming.
- No grip plus Grip boost: chat fights over whether your drifts hold, and you ride the difference.
- Tailwind plus Headwind: two viewers push in opposite directions and the board hangs in the middle.
Announce combos on screen so viewers know which gifts make them possible. Even a hand-written note in your overlay works.
