BO1 Zombies on TikTok LIVE: Which Gifts Should Trigger What
Map the cheapest gifts to small, fun effects (Max Ammo, Speed Boost, a random perk), mid-tier gifts to real swings (Insta-Kill, Hellhounds, Steal Points), and save the biggest gifts for run-defining moments like Nuke or Take All Perks. Below is how to pace that so the match stays playable and chat keeps sending.
Start with three gift tiers, not 36 individual mappings
BO1 Zombies has 36 actions, and you do not need to map all of them on day one. Sort your gift panel into three tiers instead: cheap, mid and big. Then drop actions into each tier by how much they change the match.
The rule of thumb is that price should track how hard the action changes your life. A viewer who spends the smallest amount should get a visible reaction. A viewer who spends the most should get something the whole chat talks about for the next ten minutes.
Open your TikTok gift panel and look at what your audience actually sends. Every region and account sees different gifts, so build your tiers around what shows up in your own chat, not a generic list.
Cheap gifts: small, frequent, mostly fun
Cheap gifts are your volume. They will land dozens of times a stream, so nothing at this tier should end the game or make you unable to play. The goal is constant small reactions that make every viewer feel they changed something.
Good picks for the cheapest slots:
- Speed Boost: 12 seconds of faster movement. Harmless and satisfying.
- Max Ammo: refills every weapon. Chat learns to send it when you are low.
- Random Perk: drops a perk bottle. Feels like a gift in both senses.
- Carpenter: rebuilds every barrier. Helpful but not game-breaking.
- Earthquake: shakes the screen. A pure annoyance, no lasting damage.
- Drunk Mode: FOV lurches for 15 seconds. Funny on camera, survivable.
Keep at least half of this tier helpful. If every cheap gift hurts you, viewers stop sending them once they see you struggling.
Mid-tier gifts: the effects that change a round
Mid-tier is where you want tension. These are the actions that swing a wave in your favor or against you, and they work best when a couple of them are in your mapping side by side so chat can pick a side.
Try splitting the tier in two on purpose. Helpful: Insta-Kill (30 seconds of one-hit kills), Double Points, Pack-a-Punch on the held gun, Revive All when a teammate is down. Harmful: Zombie Horde for extra zombies this wave, Hellhounds (only where the map has them), Crazy Zombies for a faster, angrier horde, Steal Points, and Blackout for a 5-second black screen.
Put Steal Points and +5000 Points at similar prices. Viewers will happily fight over your bank account, and that back and forth generates gifts by itself.
Big gifts: reserve them for moments
Your biggest gifts should feel like an event. If Nuke and Take All Perks cost the same as a small gift, they lose their weight. If they sit at the top of the panel, people save up for them and cheer when one lands.
Strong candidates for the top tier are Nuke (kills everything on the map), All Perks, Ray Gun, Wonder Weapon, Fire Sale, and Skip Rounds. Those are all huge for you, so pair them with one big harmful option such as Take All Perks or One HP so chat has a villain button too.
Watch out for Skip Rounds and Finish Round. They save you time but can also wreck a run you built carefully, so decide before you go live whether you want them at the top or left off your mapping entirely.
Balance helpful and harmful so it stays a game
A stream where chat only helps you is boring, and one where chat only hurts you gets you killed in round four. Aim for roughly an even split across the whole stream, then adjust based on how you are doing.
If you are surviving easily, lean into the harsh options in your talking: point at the Horde and Hellhounds gifts and tell chat you are getting too comfortable. If you keep going down, hype up the helpful ones like Godmode (15 seconds of invulnerability) and Revive All instead.
Short-timer effects are your friend here. Godmode, Speed Boost, Blackout and Freeze all expire on their own, so a bad gift costs you a few seconds, not the whole match. Permanent effects like Remove Perk, Take Gun (swaps your gun for an M1911) and Drain Ammo hurt more and should cost more.
Combos viewers will chase on purpose
The best moments come when two gifts land within a few seconds of each other. You cannot force that, but you can make it likely by naming combos out loud on stream and pinning them.
A few that work well in BO1:
- Insta-Kill plus Zombie Horde: a huge horde and 30 seconds of one-hit kills is a score bonanza.
- Fire Sale plus Mystery Box: the box costs 10 points, so chat effectively hands you a gun spree.
- Slow Zombies plus Double Points: a safe, greedy window to farm.
- Blackout plus Crazy Zombies: the cruel one. Chat needs to coordinate to pull it off.
- Take All Perks plus Hellhounds: only for streamers who like living dangerously.
- Spin the Wheel: for viewers who cannot decide. It lands on a random action, so it doubles as a gamble.
Tell chat the combo names in the pinned comment, and they will start racing each other to trigger the second half.
The full BO1 Zombies action list on TikPlays
Everything above is drawn from the actions that TikPlays exposes for BO1 Zombies on Plutonium's T5 client. The list is tuned to what T5 can actually do, so every action listed here works in game. Here is the live list, grouped by type, so you can plan your tiers against it.
Setting it up in TikPlays
TikPlays turns your TikTok LIVE into a game your viewers play: each gift you map on the dashboard triggers an action in real time. For BO1 Zombies, it installs the mod for you, so there is no manual file copying and no port forwarding.
Once your gifts are mapped, the tier plan above is just a matter of assigning them. You can adjust between streams as you learn which gifts your chat actually sends.
- Install Plutonium T5 and run the one-click bridge from your dashboard.
- Connect your TikTok username.
- Map gifts to actions, using your cheap, mid and big tiers.
- Start a Zombies match and go live with TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS running alongside.
Mistakes that make the mapping feel bad
Mapping every debuff to a cheap gift is the classic one. You will spend the stream frozen, blind and on one health, and viewers will feel bad about hurting you. Keep the brutal stuff at mid or big prices.
The second is forgetting to tell chat what does what. Put your mapping in a pinned comment or an overlay so nobody has to guess. Stream tools like goal bars and top-gifter overlays help give the room something to watch besides your gameplay.
The third is never changing it. If one action never gets sent, swap it for something else after the stream. Small tweaks to your mapping help more than a perfect setup on day one.
