How to Make GTA V KOTH Interactive on TikTok LIVE
You run a ScriptHookVDotNet mod in GTA V story mode that connects to your TikTok LIVE, then map gifts to actions on the TikPlays dashboard. After that, every gift your viewers send launches vehicles, hazards or help at you while you try to hold the hill.
What GTA V KOTH interactive actually is
King of the Hill is simple: you stand on a capture point and fill a bar. The interactive part is that chat is trying to stop you. The mod builds a stacked shipping-container ramp aimed at the hill, and most gifts spawn a vehicle at the bottom and fire it up and over at your head.
Fill the capture bar enough times and you win the round. That gives viewers a clear goal to fight against and gives you a clear goal to fight for, which is what keeps people sending gifts instead of just watching.
What you need before you start
You do not need to open ports or touch your router. The mod connects out to TikPlays, so there is no port forwarding.
- A PC copy of GTA V that runs in story mode (the mod does not run in GTA Online).
- A TikTok account that can go LIVE. Requirements such as follower minimums vary by region and account, so check TikTok's own LIVE settings.
- TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS to actually broadcast the game.
- A TikPlays account with your API key from the dashboard.
Step 1: Install the mod
The fastest route is the installer on your TikPlays dashboard. The manual route takes a few extra minutes but gives you full control over where files land.
- Download and run the installer from your dashboard. It asks for your API key and for your GTA V install folder.
- It places ScriptHookV, ScriptHookVDotNet 3 and the KOTH mod where they belong, so there is nothing to copy yourself.
- If you prefer to do it by hand, put ScriptHookV and ScriptHookVDotNet 3 in the game folder, put GtaKothTikPlays.dll in the scripts folder, and paste your API key into GtaKothTikPlays.ini next to it.
Launch the game once and confirm it reaches story mode without crashing before you go live. Do this on a normal day, not five minutes before your stream.
Step 2: Map gifts to actions
Open the game page on your dashboard and assign a TikTok gift to each action you want. There are 40 actions, grouped into ramp, hazards, defend and chaos, so you will not use them all at once.
Start with a small ladder. Put cheap gifts on light pressure, mid-tier gifts on things that force you to move, and your expensive gifts on the moments people will clip.
- Cheap: drop a car down the ramp, drop a bike, heal.
- Mid: drop a bus, rush the hill with NPCs, shove off the point, raise the wanted level.
- Big: drop a tank or a big rig, meteor barrage, juggernaut on the hill, vehicle avalanche.
Follows, likes, shares, joins and chat commands can each be mapped too. A follow that drops a single car is a good free-to-viewer way to keep small viewers involved.
Step 3: Build the ramp and start a round
- Map your gifts, then load GTA V story mode.
- Walk to the spot where you want the round to happen and press the rebuild-ramp key to place the ramp and hill there.
- Go LIVE in TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS, then send yourself a test gift or ask a friend to. Watch a vehicle come down the ramp before you tell chat the game is on.
- Stand on the hill to fill the capture bar. Fill it enough times and the round is yours.
If the ramp ends up somewhere awkward, use the rebuild action to move it. There are also actions to clear the wreckage, delete the ramp, reset your player and reset the score, which are handy between rounds.
Balance the round so it stays fun
The biggest mistake is making it unwinnable. If one gift can drop you instantly and viewers can chain it, the round ends in seconds and nobody gets a payoff. Keep the punishing actions on higher gifts and leave room for you to recover.
Give defensive actions their own gifts. Full armor and health, bodyguards, a few seconds of brief invincibility, bullet time and clearing your wanted level all let a viewer help you. Some of your best moments come from chat splitting between attackers and defenders.
Use the chaos actions for variety. Force night, low gravity, a storm or a spin-the-wheel gift that rolls from a list you set change the feel of the map without directly killing you. That keeps a long stream from feeling like the same hit over and over.
Make the stream easier to follow
New viewers will not know what a gift does. Say it out loud and put it on screen. A short line like 'Rose = car down the ramp, Galaxy = meteor barrage' in your title area or pinned message saves you from answering the same question all night.

Troubleshooting the usual problems
Do a full dry run with a friend gifting before your first real stream. It takes ten minutes and catches nearly all of these.
- Nothing spawns: check that the API key in GtaKothTikPlays.ini matches your dashboard, and that you are in story mode rather than online.
- Mod does not load: confirm ScriptHookV and ScriptHookVDotNet 3 are both in the game folder. A game update can break ScriptHookV until it is updated, so wait for its update if that happens.
- Gifts do nothing: check that the gift is actually mapped on the dashboard. Gift names can differ slightly from what you expect, so pick them from the list rather than typing them.
- Ramp in the wrong place: stand where you want it and press the rebuild-ramp key again.
